I am super excited about tonight, just as I am always in knockout rounds of the Champions League. A part of me is inspired by the exciting football we played against Spurs. I feel players will rise to the occasion and more than that, Atletico Madrid is a tough game but a team that we can beat man-to-man.
Further down the round, I would be less optimistic, but I would not rule it out. Freak winners are quite common in knockout tournaments. It’s all about turning up on the day. The change of the away goals rule is something we need to get accustomed to, just like we are finding our feet with VAR.
